I used 2 baby arran weight yarns because I did not have any double knit weight in all the colours I needed. I am sure this will work out just as well with all 3 colours in DK or worsted weight yarn. I used CC1 & CC3 as my aran weight and CC2 as my DK.

This hot water bottle cosy will fit a 2 litre standard size bottle, it is worked in one piece. It has a draw string closure made by crocheting a long chain. It also has a snap faster for the top (this is optional). On row 5 make sure you place your hook under both rows between the scales to secure them down together. (I will be making a video tutorial soon. A fellow crocheter got stuck on the first two rows so for now all I have is a talk through the first two rows click here if you would like help) The pattern below is written in American terms. To finish crochet a sc edging to give it a neat finish. sc all the way around evenly making sure the front of your work is facing you, placing 2sc in each corner. When you come to sc across the top, sc as row 12 from * to * fasten off leaving a long tail end. The way I measured my tail end was by placing the tail end across one side and then the bottom of the cosy (in an 'L' shape) add a little extra then cut off...this will give you enough to sew it together. Fold it in half length ways making sure the top (the last row your crocheted) is facing up towards you and the back of your work facing out. Sew in an 'L' shape down the side and bottom. Top Tip!! Line up your crocodile stitches by using a clothes peg. This will ensure that you are sewing the seam symmetrically and evenly. Weave in your tail ends. I single crocheted over my starting tail end so I only had one tail end to weave in.

Tassel's (make 2) : I used a business card and wrapped the yarn 10 times around the card then cut and placed them over my hook centred and then latch hooked it through the two ends. It is made from 100% cotton. I made this pattern up as I went along, I am thrilled with the way it turned out. It came out perfect and just how I visualised it. Its made using single crochet and double crochet (american terms). It reminds me of a fisherman's style sun hat. It is traditional style. I love the colours. My son loves his new sun hat as do I. I will try and write up the pattern. I would like to start posting free patterns on this blog. Please feel free to leave a comment below. Here are photos of my handsome prince wearing his new sun hat.
I bought this wool a while ago. I liked the colour. Its a blend of new wool and poly-acrylic. Its super bulky weight/chunky. I got the pattern from the Lion Brand web page. If you search patterns and type in Lime hat, you will see the pattern. It was easy to make and worked up very quick. Its lovely and warm. It is a mixture of single crochet and double crochet. I love my new hat!
I have made matching Kitty hat scarf and mitt sets. I have made a lovely boys hat scarf mitt and slouchy beanie set. Slouchy beanie pattern from the Celebrity Slouchy beanie book by Lisa Gentley. I love this book. The patterns are easy to follow and fashionable, they are suitable for all the family. I also made a lovely little brown matching hat and scarf set for a little girl. I will attach my 'fresh off tha hook' videos for the last two weeks and post photos below. Thank you for reading. Much love Haylee x

I am half way through a customer order and in the process of another. Thank you all for being patient, I promise your hat sets will be worth the wait. I apologise for taking so long getting them made however, I have never been one to rush and take pride in the things I create. I will update this with the video links for the valentines giveaway and my 'fresh off tha hook' videos as soon as possible.

The other thing I wanted to show you is these earrings I made. They are the very first set of crochet earrings I have ever made. I used pure Arran wool and gold crochet thread. These were made with single crochet and picot edging.
